Hiatus OVER! Let's talk about the O-Line

Hey All! Sorry about the hiatus. I was busy getting a job and getting married. Now that things are kind of hitting their stride, I wanted to get back into the blog. So let me know if I have lost touch since my last post was almost 6 years ago.

This article is all about the Titans’ offense. And I am sure you have seen just about everything I could say from all the other posters, but hopefully, this one is more interesting.

WILL LEVIS!

His development is probably the main cog in an actual Titans’ offense. But there is a lot more nuance than just, “If Levis is good then the Titans are good”.

I want to start with a couple of key spots on the O-LIne. Brunskill was a nice gap player last year and is competing for the RG job. I like him a lot but the problem with him in Vrabel’s TEN offense was that he just couldn’t pass block. Is it all his fault? I don’t think so but what we need at right guard is either Bill Callahan’s guy, Saahdiq Charles, to step up or the former first round pick, Dillon Radunz.

One thing about Radunz is he is definitely strong and we already have sunk a 1st round draft selection into him. Under the elder Callahan maybe he pops and becomes a legitimate RG. Maybe he sucks and we wasted a pick on a dude from North Dakota. I like Radunz personally, and if he can become the player he was expected to be, then our RG slot will be settled.

If Charles gets the job then what I just said is completely wrong and you shouldn’t be reading this. But as a writer and not a HOF Coach (Bill Callahan) I am just going off what I can see with my eyes. Charles was cheap so if he is the MAN then thank you Jesus! I just don’t want to watch Levis get hurt in his Sophomore year for the TITS.

The other large hole is the Right Tackle position. Do we give NPF his job back? He was just about average according to PFF but also only in his 3rd year. I think he works there but with the addition of Cushenberry and the bright future of Skoronski AND the draft of JC Latham, I personally think that if we can get some type of development out of NPF, Radunz or Charles the O-Line will be better than the last two year. Who are we kidding if they are worse than the last two Titans’ Olines, then we are just cursed…

Honestly, to me, this is the biggest focus of the year. Who fills out the right side of the O-Line and who steps up and takes that job at Right Guard.

Hopefully, the elder statesman, Mr. Bill Callahan, can get them into shape!

Also, My brother, a Nashville native just joined the blog. His first piece is coming right after this. So look at it but make sure you like this one more!

Peace out, and Titan UP!
